In May 2021, our Damp team were called to one of our client's home, for help resolving a classic case of Rising Damp. After a full Damp Survey and Investigation, our Damp Experts determined that Dryrod would be the best Damp treatment for the current case of Rising Damp, and to protect their home for years to come. 

Dryrod is an advanced Damp-Proofing treatment rod made with high-performance silane/siloxane technology. These rods are designed to be inserted into pre-drilled holes in the mortar course, where they dissolve and create a powerful chemical barrier that prevents moisture from rising through the brick and masonry.

Our dryrod application process

1. Assessment: Our Damp Specialists conducted a thorough Damp Survey and Investigation to identify the sources of damp and the extent to which they had manifested. This crucial step allowed our damp team to correctly advise the best damp treatment for the job.

2. Preparation: The Damp Team prepared our client's home for the Dryrod installation. This included drilling holes at regular intervals along the motor course, following precise measurements to ensure complete and effective Damp-Proofing coverage.

3. Insertion: The Dryrods were then carefully inserted into each prepared hole. The rods began to release their active ingredients immediately, penetrating the brick and masonry and beginning the process of damp treatment.

4. Sealing: Once all the Dryrods were installed, they were sealed with mortar to restore the appearance and integrity of the walls.
